All my life, I’ve loved to travel. My dream has been to visit all the countries that interest me on every continent. Until July 2021, however, I’d never left North America.

In Spring of 2021, we could see the world beginning to reopen. Dempsey said, “This year is yours. It’s time to make your travel dream come true.” And so we did!

We’re spending fifteen weeks exploring the world, and you’re invited along.

Peace Arch

Today was our last day in the hotel near the hospital. I’m recovering, although still being careful and resting. We tuned in to our intuition and drove two hours to Vancouver, where we had an Airbnb still booked. I started crying as we drove along, the Pacific on our left and the Peace Arch ahead. I’m still crying. And I realize despite my hunger for travel, and the sense of urgency I have about seeing more of the world, what I really needed was to go home. The iconic Peace Pole that honors our First Nations. This is one of thousands of efforts underway to rectify historic wrongs.
